Health and Well-Being

The correlation between drumming and wellness has been documented by many accredited national and international health organizations. Drumming has been shown to have healing effects on people with challenges such as autism, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Dementia, Parkinson's disease, and addiction. Drumming supports improvement in social communication and self-esteem and a reduction in anxiety.
People in hospice care, facing a life-limiting illness, can benefit from the effects of drumming, even if they are not able to drum themselves. Drumming can reduce the physical symptoms of pain and agitation, and provide emotional support and opportunities for meaningful interactions for families and caregivers.
